05/08/03 DAY 1 in New Zealand
After a long flight with an excellently balanced airplane breakfast (almond muffins!), we arrived in Auckland at 6:30 am. Saw Miami people….Meredith was not as excited as one might have expected and Emily still seemed confused about the whole me thinking she was Katie thing.

Guy from the rental place picked us up and drove away. Weird traffic laws! Got a 6-person camper instead of a 4-person for free!
Took Bus and ferry to Auckland after awesome chicken Caesar salad and my credit card was declined. Rode ferry to Auckland and was REALLY disappointed by the shopping but saw a few cool places.
Luckily Ryan convinced us to go up Space Needle. Really cool..saw park and went to it later, but a little disappointed.
Finally went to bookstore and outdoor store and came back to camper. Walked along ocean and brought groceries.
Highlight : Bought a Cowboy hat
Lowpoint: Giving bartender my PIN number and him making fun of me.
Random Thought: If everybody had a New Zealand accent the world would be a better place.
In bed by 7:00 PM!
