Yahoo has done a major overhaul of its tennis (and all sports) section. First impressions for the tennis look:
1. Nice pictures! They seem somehow be of better quality although I doubt up. Maybe they are just cropped closer and thus look more intense.
2. Men’s rankings. Finally the rankings link shows all annualized rankings rather than just for the year 2007. It always funny in the first week of January when some lower player is ranked in the top 10 because he won a small tournament when the big guns haven’t started their season yet.
3. Links look a lot sleeker now that they aren’t being underlined. It was always a little rough on the eyes to look at the completed matches page
4.Black!
5.The photo slideshow is pretty sweet. I assume this was probably part of their integration with Flickr.
6. Yahoo answer box. Great ideas, but as of this writing, could use some better questions…
7. Player’s pages now have a photo page! Nice although it would be cool to have single photo for tour websites on the main page.
